Meet Karyn

During a difficult time in my life, I returned home to Georgia, seeking comfort and some much-needed clarity from my mom. This is where my journey with Reiki began.

My mother has aways been a seeker and very intuitive. At the time, she was taking a full range of classes exploring the mysteries of the metaphysical, one evening, she invited me to join her. The class was titled “An Introduction to Reiki.”

In the mid-1990s, Reiki was still a whisper in the wider world—rare and intriguing. The first time I experienced its gentle and profound energy, something within me awakened. I began my training at once, receiving my Reiki I and Reiki II Degrees. Soon after, life guided me further: a dear friend was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Knowing Reiki could help the body’s own wisdom awaken to healing, I committed myself to learning more—not only for me, but for them and I began the journey of becoming a Reiki Master. With gratitude and determination, I continued until I earned my Master Teacher Degree.

Years later, another layer of Reiki found me—Karuna Reiki™. It expands upon the Usui tradition, weaving in additional frequencies and sacred symbols that stir compassion at the deepest levels. I now hold a Level II certification in Karuna Reiki™, and together, these practices harmonize, creating an even more powerful experience for those I serve.

My approach is simple yet sacred: I trust Reiki itself.

The energy knows where to flow, touching body, mind, and spirit with exactly what is needed. As a Reiki Master, I strive to live by its principles, carrying compassion, love, and gentleness into all that I do. Reiki has softened me, deepened me, opened me—to myself, to others, and to the wild beauty of being human.
